What is International Data Science Olympiad?
The International Data Science Olympiad (IDSOL) invites students from all over the world to submit proposals to solve real-world challenges with data science as presentations and prototypes showcased to judges from academic, industry, and government backgrounds.
How To Participate
- Form a team of 1-6 members
- Formulate a data science or AI solution under
topics of SDG - Submit a proposal deck, a paper (4 pages max), and a video (3 mins max)
- Obtain a letter of nomination from the school
- Finalists will be invited to a briefing by their country or the Ersatz Organizing Committee
- Student or school accepts nomination from their country or Ersatz Organizing Committee
About the Training Programme
- 2-days Training Session (16 hrs total)
- Topics Covered:
- Fundamental Mathematics for Data Science
- Data exploration, analysis and interpretation (i.e. telling story through data)
- Basic machine learning algorithms (concepts and application)
- Essential Python for Data Science
- Schedule:
- July 2024: 15-16 / 18-19 / 22-23 / 25-26 / 29-30
- August 2024: 1-2 / 5-6 / 8-9 / 12-13 / 15-16 / 19-20 / 22-23
